Inspiration for this bread comes once again from Land Alice Gustafsson and her active mountain pasture hut, Skallskog. She grew up at Landgården, where baking crispbread was a part of everyday life. Alice was a baker here at Leksands Knäckebröd for many years, and has now retreated to her mountain pasture hut of childhood, where she continues to bake crispbread.
Mountain Crispbread Sourdough is a luxurious, dark, rich and robust crispbread that is suitable both for everyday use and for special occasions. The bread has been baked using sourdough with malt and linseed, giving it a slightly more chewy consistency.
The crispbread is slightly crisper and thinner, and it has a wonderful taste of home baking.
